David's rugby career started when he missed the school bus to go home in 9th grade and didn't want to call his mom to leave work early. He ran into a friend in the hallway who said he was going to rugby practice so he decided to go and fill in his mom later. David was hooked. He continued his playing career as he joined the Penn State Team getting his higher education. Then in 2012 David moved to Jacksonville and found the JRFC. Off the pitch he is a dad to three kids, one who was just born. He loves to fish. Surf fishing, kayak fishing or taking out the boat. He also loves dungeons and dragons - although he doesn't currently have a group. He is running a research project with NOAA that's studying the carbon sequestration capabilities of mushrooms as well as learning how to fish print similar to Gyotaku.
